Again, we use the pretérito perfecto tense for events that happened at a specific point in time in the past. We usually indicate that specific point by using a time expression:
El lunes pasado fui al gimnasio.
El martes fui a la iglesia.
El miércoles pasado fui al trabajo.
El jueves fui al parque.
El viernes fui a un restaurante.
El sábado pasado fui al mercado.
El domingo fui al cine.

María: Javier, ¿qué hiciste el lunes pasado?
Javier: El lunes pasado fui al gimnasio en Brooklyn.
M: ¿Qué hiciste el diecisiete de enero?
J: El diecisiete de enero fui a un restaurante cubano.
M: ¿Qué hiciste ayer por la noche?
J: Ayer por la noche fui al cine.
