Using Our Service

Who Can Use Berges Institute

You need to be at least 16 years old to use our service. By using Berges Institute, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your Berges Institute Account

You'll need an account to access our courses. Keep your password secure—you're responsible for any activity that happens through your account.

If you notice any unauthorized use of your account, let us know immediately at dan@bergesinstitute.com.

You can close your account anytime by contacting us.


Using Berges Institute Services

What You Can Expect From Us

We provide online live Spanish language courses. We're constantly updating and improving our services, which might mean adding or removing features or functionality.

What We Expect From You

Don't misuse our services. For example, don't:

Respect copyright. Our courses, videos, and materials are protected by copyright. You can use them for personal learning, but you can't copy, share, or sell them.

We may suspend or stop providing our services to you if you don't follow these terms or if we're investigating suspected misconduct.


Your Content

Some of our services allow you to submit content (like practice exercises or feedback). You keep any intellectual property rights you have in that content.


Subscriptions and Payments

Pricing

We offer subscription plans and packages of group classes or private lessons for purchase. Prices are displayed during enrollment. Our educational services are exempt from VAT/sales tax.

Billing

When you subscribe:

Cancellations and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription anytime directly from your account settings, and it will end at the close of your current billing period. You won't be charged for the next billing period after cancellation.

For EU customers: You have 14 days from purchase to change your mind and get a full refund. If you've started using the service, we'll refund what you paid minus the value of what you've already used. Just email us at dan@bergesinstitute.com.

If you're outside the EU and think you deserve a refund, contact us—we'll consider it fairly.


Software and Updates

We may automatically update our software to improve your experience, fix bugs, or add new features. Some updates may change or remove features.


Problems and Disagreements

Our Warranties

We provide our services using reasonable skill and care. But we don't make specific promises about our services, like:

Our Liabilities

We're responsible for losses caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, or by our breach of contract with you.

We're not responsible for:

Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

Some countries' laws don't allow certain limitations. If those apply to you, some of these limitations may not apply.

Spanish Law Applies

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're an EU consumer, you also have the protections of mandatory laws in your country, and can bring legal proceedings in your local courts.


About These Terms

Changes

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website.

If you don't agree with the new terms, you should stop using our service and cancel your subscription.

If There's a Conflict

If these terms conflict with service-specific terms, the service-specific terms will govern for that service.

If you don't follow these terms and we don't take action immediately, that doesn't mean we're giving up any rights we may have.

If a court finds that a specific term isn't enforceable, it won't affect other terms.
