In Spanish, we don't capitalize them:
En enero Juan siempre va a Puerto Rico.
En España, las tiendas normalmente no abren en agosto.
Writing the date
We use cardinal (regular) numbers, and we use the article el:
El 3 de julio, el 20 de enero, etc. (July 3rd, January 20th, etc.)
