Encantar (to charm)
Encantar works exactly like gustar, and we use it to say that we like something a lot:
Me encanta la pizza. (I love pizza.)
Me encantan las ostras. (I love oysters.)
A mi hermana le encanta cocinar. (My sister loves cooking.)
Gustar and encantar can also be used with other persons, not only the third person. The subject can be any person: Me encantas. (I really like you. Lit. You charm me.) ¿Te gusto? (Do you like me? Lit. Do I please you?)
