Going to places in Spanish
We use the present tense (the only tense we've seen for now) for expressing habits. Here is an example using the present tense for describing activities we usually do during the week:
Los lunes voy al gimnasio.
Los martes voy a la iglesia.
Los miércoles voy al trabajo.
Los jueves voy al parque.
Los viernes voy a un restaurante.
Los sábados voy al mercado.
Los domingos voy al cine.
Note how, instead of saying on Mondays, we say los lunes (lit. “the Mondays”). We do the same thing with all the other days.
Also note how a + el becomes al.
Progress, Vol. 1
Progress, all volumes
Interleaving
Drilling one topic until it feels easy is tempting, but mixing different topics together builds more flexible, durable knowledge. The variety forces your brain to work harder, and that's what makes it last.
