Great! I've tried a number of different adult education Spanish courses over the years, and this class was fast-paced enough to refresh my knowledge and keep me interested, but not so demanding that I was lost. Plus, the technology worked well and I was surprised that I enjoyed an online language course.

This course was great at differentiating the more active, specific perfect past tense from the more habitual, descriptive imperfect past tense and breaking down their individual uses. Sofia parsed out those differences in thorough detail as well as other concepts, and she often utilized creative supplemental activities to put concepts into tangible perspective.

I love the way the material is presented, taking complex grammatical sets of rules and breaking them down into the most succinct statements. I like getting to practice talking and listening but in a way where I can hear things repeated in both languages if I'm struggling.

This level was the most challenging thus far, but I'm a lot more confident in my ability to read/write/understand Spanish. I've tried different avenues of learning a new language, and this has been the only way that I've been successful outside of college courses.

One more step to a better understanding of Spanish. I like the building block approach.

Lots of good information. Ian clearly knows the information and communicates it well. The classes sometimes seemed rushed to "squeeze in" more information than there was time to cover and/or practice.

This was a very good course. I didn’t expect to learn so much from This course. The teacher gave me confidence to go on with my study of Spanish. Everyone, the teacher and staff was so supportive. I told my friends that if you want to learn Spanish go to Berges Institute!

I enjoyed the Level 3 course. The instructor, Sofia Medina, did a good job of integrating other resources towards the 2nd half of the class. Good job a providing context for terms/phrases in common usage. Recommend more Q&A of discussion in Spanish in order to face the students to use the grammar and tenses being reviewed at the time. I recommend Berges and Sophia for anyone looking to advance their level in Spanish.

Level 3 focuses on the imperfect tense. The class gave us many opportunities to understand how and when to use this tense. I actually was very surprised how much I liked the online classes as well.

The class is what I exactly I needed. The various past tenses are difficult and Alexandra made it easy to understand. Looking forward with Level 4 with her!

Level 3 was my first class with Berges. I learned Spanish in high school, college, and studying abroad in Spain, but I’ve lost a lot of knowledge over the last 20 years. This class was just what I needed to feel so much more comfortable with past tense. I’m excited to continue on to Level 4!

I enjoyed the course. I think the classes are long and detailed enough to promote conversation and understanding
