Level 3 with Andres was excellent. From the very first class we were "90% Spanish" and I appreciated this. We were a small group, which allowed each of us to have a good amount of speaking time. I am ready for Level 4!

I feel like the format and the pace of this course was perfect for my learning style and schedule. I've taken Spanish courses at other institutions, and while those courses were also very good, the course I took at Berges checked all of the boxes for me. I also appreciate that the course materials are provided, and that a discount was given for people to enroll in the next level, as a way to incentivize participants to continue. Anytime I have needed to reach out to the instructor or administrators, they have been responsive and helpful. I highly recommend Berges to anyone who is just learning Spanish for the first time as well as those who have studied Spanish in the past but need to brush up.

My understanding of and ability to speak Spanish has improved exponentially thanks to the great tutelage from el maestro Juan Carlos. I also enjoyed the small class format (online) and the homework really sharpened my knowledge of how to conjugate verbs and also increased my vocabulary. I look forward to learning more Spanish in a Level 4 class with Juan Carlos.

This level focuses on verbs and tenses, which are critical. Julia is excellent!! My Spanish is really improving!! Julia and all the instructors are able to balance helping adult students to learn, with questions etc, and yet making us feel like we are improving!! These classes are great!!

This course covers enough that you feel like you're learning a lot, but not too much that you're overwhelmed. The homework assignments are helpful and each lesson builds on what you learned before. By the end I felt comfortable writing, listening, and speaking in all the topics covered.

All of the courses are well designed and the level 3 course is no different. The Berges Method is a direct, no nonsense way of teaching spanish. Anyone willing to put in the work can begin to have a working knowledge of spanish and progress to a good level of fluency. This is not your average pedagogical approach to learning the language. It has truly helped me and with effort on my part, I have been able to become more fluent.

Such a wonderful way to study a language. My instructor Rolando was helpful, patient, funny and on time. It was a pleasure to have him as a teacher. The format (Zoom equivalent) lends itself well to a small group instruction, and while I am on the West Coast and the other students and Rolando were on the East Coast, it always felt intimate. Rolando had a knack for remembering details about our lives that he would then help us expand on in Spanish. The format is basic and easy to follow. Homework is doable in about an hour or two. Rolando offered more options for deeper study and practice that were very helpful. An excellent course!!!

The course was definitely the hardest one yet! It moved faster than the previous two to me, but that might be because I have a beginners level Spanish background. I was considering taking it again but I believe with the tools provided I can succeed in level 4.

The instructor goes at an even pace, makes sure everyone gets their turn to practice. She is kind so it's not intimidating to practice speaking Spanish. What would make the class more stimulating would be to include "extra" vocabs/local knowledges outside of what the book teaches. That would add more facet to the course.

I loved my Level 3 course. I learned so much and grew a lot more confident with speaking. I love how interactive it is, we have to keep speaking and participating the entire time. I wish there was extra homework though to get in some more practice. But I think it's helpful we get all those extra resources to practice online.

I absolutely loved this course. It helped me review the knowledge i already had and helped me learn so many new words. Juan Carlos was great at explaining the lessons as well as giving opportunity to ask questions for further explanation. Already signed up for level 4!

The content is great as usual. Nick does not use any presentation or give any practice exercise, so his class is not really helpful. Wish he could ask us to do more practice using what we learned from the textbook.

Great! I've tried a number of different adult education Spanish courses over the years, and this class was fast-paced enough to refresh my knowledge and keep me interested, but not so demanding that I was lost. Plus, the technology worked well and I was surprised that I enjoyed an online language course.

This course was great at differentiating the more active, specific perfect past tense from the more habitual, descriptive imperfect past tense and breaking down their individual uses. Sofia parsed out those differences in thorough detail as well as other concepts, and she often utilized creative supplemental activities to put concepts into tangible perspective.

I love the way the material is presented, taking complex grammatical sets of rules and breaking them down into the most succinct statements. I like getting to practice talking and listening but in a way where I can hear things repeated in both languages if I'm struggling.
