Good mix of topics that are relevant at this level of learning, not just the imperfect tense. Homework’s are challenging but useful to understand concepts previously taught. Instructors are kind and understanding.

This is the 3rd level I’ve taken at Berges. I enjoy the weekly format and the homework that requires practicing what is being taught. I appreciate the flexibility in scheduling and the consistency across the many instructors. A great structure and I have learned so much in the classes.

I really enjoyed most of these classes. My problem is my schedule and finding a day and time that works week after week. My optimal class would be 3 or 4 pm eastern time on a weekday.

So excited to soon embark on level 4! Signing up for Spanish lessons with berges institute was the best decision ever for my lifelong dream to speak Spanish. I owe all my progress to the wonderful teacher I was paired with from the very first class in level 1, Gloria! She is not only an amazing teacher who takes the time to make sure you understand a concept before moving on but she is so personable and kind. During the 3 levels I had to substitute a class maybe 3 or 4 times and no other teacher compared to working with Gloria. She teaches in a way you can assimilate the information not just go over a lesson and call it learning. I truly love her and cannot recommend working with her enough!!

Our Level 3 course masterfully breaks down complex linguistic shifts, specifically navigating the nuances between the pretérito imperfecto and the preterite tense. It also introduces critical structural concepts like direct object pronouns and forming the future tense using ir, making intimidating topics accessible to everyone. While this is a demanding course, an engaging and fun instructor helps make these challenging concepts much easier to grasp.

These classes are very challenging for me, in part because I don't have enough time to study every day, which I think would make everything "stick" much better. But I am learning quite a lot and I certainly feel like I am progressing. The teacher (Nelson) is simply amazing. I plan to keep going with Berges Institute and hopefully will find more time to study.

This course is exactly what I was looking for. I was using various language apps but felt that I needed something more structured. I also wanted a venue where I could interact with other people who were also at my level of Spanish. I like that Berges offered a short placement test and then recommended the appropriate level for me. Too many other times language apps have me start over with counting to ten, and learning basic vocabulary. Berges allowed me to start at an appropriate level and learn new concepts right away. The Level 3 classes are great. I am learning a lot each week and am feeling much more confident in the use of the various past tenses. The homework builds on the previous material as well as the latest concepts. The course is great and I plan to continue with the next level.

This is the second course that I have taken with Gloria Alveal. She is a great teacher and I highly recommend her. Her lessons are thorough and understandable. She gives all of the students the opportunity to participate in the class, regardless of their level or ability to speak Spanish. Gloria follows the materials provided by Berges to insure that the content is covered, but she still makes time for questions and discussion. Great teacher, great class!

This was a very helpful level and it is necessary for understanding the differences between preterite and imperfect. Gloria is a great teacher and I feel like I am getting more conversational due to her teaching.

This was a really useful level that built on Level 2 with some important tenses etc. All of the material was brought to life each week, in a very entertaining way, by Rolando.

This level introduced more conversation and practicing some of the concepts that will make it possible to really communicate at a slightly more advanced level. Being able to distinguish between two types of past tense forms is an important aspect of the language. Furthermore, learning a few of the grammar concepts, more in depth for example, the different applications of "por" and "para" as well as specific verbs in various scenarios, really gave me the feeling of being more than just a beginner in Spanish.
