If you want to learn Spanish, this is the place to do it! The text book is easy to follow and teaches in a way that makes sense to English speakers. The teachers are engaging and they have classes to fit any work schedule (Saturday classes, classes that start at 8:30pm if you tend to work late, etc.).

I signed up for Level 2 after completing absolute beginners, and I plan to see it through all levels. I love the school's method and style of teaching - it works really well for my style of learning. Rolando's instruction style is great, and I intend to stay with his class as long as my schedule allows. A few things I like: 1 - the learning is substantial, but also done in digestible increments. As long as you pay attention in each class, actually try to learn, and do the assigned homework, the method is very effective. I can already understand conversations I hear on the street, and I look forward to becoming completely conversant myself. 2 - the 90 min class format is perfect, both for scheduling as well as avoiding burn-out [a competitor school has 3 hour classes - way too long, in my opinion]. 3 - the location is convenient. 4 - I have taken other language classes where the instructor taught to the most knowledgeable student, even if it was beyond the intended class level. This NEVER happens here. Rolando teaches to exactly the level everyone should be having attended and done the homework, and never above or below it. And, nobody is made to feel stupid for not knowing something. He's not going to hold the class back if you have fallen behind, but he's not going to embarrass anyone either. 5 - the homework is perfect for making the lessons stick, and is varied in format. I definitely recommend Berges.

I feel like I have learned a lot, and am well on my way to being a comfortable Spanish speaker. And Alejandro makes it a ton of fun. It feels like hanging out with a friend.

Grammar mixed with conversation - seems like a nice progression from beginner/level 1 and a great way to prepare me for level 3.

Level 2 is more about grammar in different tenses and of course more vocabulary. Not to many people in the class but enough to have small conversations in Spanish. Very informal, friendly and from time to time funny! I promised myself quite some years ago to never take exams again, but here I am, going for level 3 and further...

Really enjoyed this course, learned a lot about Grammar and we also got to speak a lot, and I think that practice is great.

Level 2 is very by the book and lots of homework review. There is limited speaking opportunities. I hope level 3+ will be more about speaking than memorization and reading the book. <br>The instructor is funny and lively.

I could not be more pleased with Berges Institute. Both level 1 and level 2 have been very positive experiences. I was researching Spanish teaching courses on-line (initially). There was a groupon for Berges Spanish Level 1 and I decided to try it. Everyone is so pleasant, easygoing and helpful. I never worry about sounding stupid or making mistakes. My Level2 instructor Dan, my Level 1 instructor Nelson, and of course Victor, are all a pleasure to deal with. I even love the rustic arch entrance! Very, very positive experience. I will be continuing my Spanish courses at Berges. Highly recommend!

This is the second course I've taken with Berges - I started with Level 1 and have enjoyed both courses immensely. All of the instructors have been incredibly helpful and make language learning fun. I am seeing my Spanish improve each week and will continue to take courses there until I'm fully conversational!

This is my second course at Berges. Material is well laid out and easy to understand. This class was much more conversation oriented than level 1.

The Berges Institute is an "excellent find" for those who want to learn Spanish for career purposes, or in my case to travel to Spanish-speaking countries. In addition, Vanessa is an engaging teacher. You learn a lot and it is enjoyable to be in her classroom.

The course at Berges was very helpful to me in my journey towards becoming a fluent Spanish speaker. I was able to finally gain an understanding on specific rules and tenses that have always confused me. I enjoyed being able to have conversations in Spanish and having a fluent speaker explain and point out when I made an error. I have learned so much and feel more confident when speaking than I did before the class. I plan to enroll in the next level soon. Thank you!
