I always look forward to the next class! It's a supportive, warm environment, and we are all learning a lot together! It's especially nice when someone from a previous class shows up in the current class. Basically the class is very effective educationally, but also a nice social experience as well.

Great course. I learned a lot and loved the weekly translation homework. It was helpful being able to put into practice what was learned each week. The textbook PDF that comes with the course is superb. You truly get out what you put in. This was my first course with Berges and ideal for someone who already has a little experience with Spanish.

Level 2 built upon vocabulary introduced in Level 1, and introduced past tense verb changes. The pace was challenging in that there is new information each class, but there is also time to review and practice. The weekly homework is really helpful for me, and María always goes through the homework with us in class, which is helpful in correcting mistakes and recognizing what I need to further review.

First let me say that the test I took to decide where I should be placed in terms of classes was spot on. I was placed in the correct class.
I found the text book to also cover the material that I would need.
Alexandra made the lessons informative , adding little extra hints and vocabulary. She made it fun and applied the lessons to everyday life.

The Level 2 Spanish course covered a lot of topics, and helped me develop a strong foundation of using the past tense. I liked the example conversations, and the homework exercises helped reinforce our lessons. Having a small class size was also a benefit, as everyone had plenty of opportunities to practice speaking.

I learned a lot of Spanish in the Level 2 course. Julia is an excellent and patient teacher. The remote format works well. I like the slow, gradual pace of the Berges method as it allows the basics to become solidified without rushing to newer, more complex topics.

This was a very good learning experience, especially considering the circumstances. I would imagine everyone is tired of working remotely but the online platform actually worked well for this course, probably because we were a small group (five students). Everyone had lots of time for conversation, which I found to be the most rewarding aspect of the course.

Course two felt like a significant jump from course one and at times I felt overwhelmed. It wasn't until we were reviewing at the end that it all came together for me. Additionally the pacing at times felt imbalanced in terms of how much new material was covered in one class versus others. That said the course was good on balance, subject matter was broken down well, examples and whiteboarding with our instructor was incredibly helpful and I was challenged but not discouraged. Looking forward to course three!

Very good class!
The class itself organized the content to build a base--not simply conversation. The structure is so important for the serious students but not overwhelming. You get what you put into it.

The course materials are good and the class progresses in a scaffolded way to help you build on each week. My instructor didn't always feel prepared and was often distracted, talking to other people in her house or taking phone calls. I liked the homework assignments, and wish there were even more practice materials between classes.

Karen is a great teacher - super patient and clear. The pace of the course is good and I like how the information builds over time. I think the value of the class is good - the time in class vs the price.
I feel like my knowledge of Spanish is something I’m building while still retaining what I learned previously.

I think the outline of the material is easy to follow. I absolutely loved the instructor, Karen. She was so patient and helpful. Learning a second language at my age has been very hard, but I appreciate the ability to take classes with Berges.

The course was helpful in learning grammar, but was not helpful in learning to speak and understand Spanish better which was what I hoped to get out of the course. I don't think the current setup is the best way to teach. It should be maybe moved to a zoom platform so breakout rooms can be utilized to give students more practice with speaking and interacting with the teacher checking in and giving feedback. It wasn't Nick, it's the setup of the program.

I have only taken Spanish classes in person back in school. It had been a few years that I have wanted to get back into practicing and expanding my knowledge but I could never do it on my own. The accountability of the class is exactly what I needed. For an online class, it was lead perfectly. I loved my professor Alexandra and appreciate how much she had us all speak out loud even if I was uncomfortable sometimes. I feel much more confident in my Spanish speaking abilities because of this course and look forward to the next.

I really enjoyed this course! I tested to where I could have started with level 3 but decided to do level 2 just because I knew it would be good to review what I had already learned and I was glad I did! I feel like I really learned a lot and enjoyed the class. Alejandro was a great teacher and made the class fun and interesting!
