I love the Berges Institute classes and how the curriculum is structured. It's brilliant how each unit builds upon the last in small steps, and in a way that increases my ability to create phrases and sentences exponentially every few weeks. I also appreciate the passion and kindness of the teachers.
Monica is just so lovely that I really look forward to seeing her every week for class. It's hard for me to make myself sit down each week to take any Spanish class- time wise, energy wise, and socially- it's a lot! But Monica is so warm and patient and encouraging that I don't think I have missed one of her classes yet, even on my busiest days, and even when on vacation. She is gem of a person and an instructor, and I hope to continue as her student as I progress.

I found Level 4 most important. It reviewed lessons I learned in Level 3, thus reinforcing my basic knowledge and then it built on that information with new material. This pedological procedure is most helpful in my learning and unique to Berges.

I have been studying Spanish on my own, but lacked the structure of a classroom. I have taken Level 3 and Level 4 at Berges, and the classes have certainly made me focus on verb conjugation. I found Level 4 to be easy. At first, I was surprised at the last of new verb tenses (Levels 3 and 5 contain the most verb tenses), but perhaps that is by design, because I got in another 10 weeks of practice in the material introduced in Level 3 before moving on to the more difficult material in Level 5. Thanks to Berges, I have improved in verb conjugations much faster than I would have on my own. I find myself still making errors, but realizing it and self-correcting before the instructor.

The level 4 course was amazing! I like the homework that helps to reinforce learning. I have taken other Spanish courses with other organizations and Berges Institute is by far the best. I would highly recommend them.

I really liked the course because Sofía was very clear about expectations and the homework.
It didn't seem to work out well for me because on Saturdays I may have to leave on a trip or some other reason. Mornings are best for me and I didn't see that as a course offering, so it unfortunately wasn't the best for me time wise.

Level Four covered a lot of information. I didn't think I would get it in the beginning but the book was very organized and teacher very professional.

I thought the lessons in Level 4 were clear and well-paced. This has been true of the previous levels as well. The homework was also perfectly geared to what was taught in each lesson. And, of course, Unit 6, with all of its verb forms, both regular and irregular, has been quite useful.

The courses provide you with a solid grounding in grammar and conjugation and real-world conversational usage of the language. I feel very proud that as I have progressed levels, more and more of the classes are conducted in Spanish and my comprehension has developed so well. And, as an adult learner, I really appreciate that the teachers provide reassurance that mistakes are important to learning. They encourage the students to try and if you make a mistake, so what? The emphasis is on learning; it is not about grades and perfection. Most students attend because they genuinely want to learn to speak the language and the instructors support this end goal and encourage students to embrace the fact that progress will not be perfectly linear. The structure of the courses supports this approach too; each level includes review and enforcement of previous levels. In summary, this is the first Spanish course I've taken that has really worked for me.
