This course was excellent for me, as I benefited greatly from learning the Spanish language and I will continue to register in the next courses of this institute

The course was great. I feel like I have learned so much and can actually speak Spanish. Many people have asked and commented about it. I always recommend Bergers and know folks who have signed up for the course after I tell them how the Graf method works and the books are structured.

I really appreciated Sylvana´s friendly and motivating way of teaching. She succeeded in creating a stress free environment for the students and was able to encourage us on every step we took. She enabled me, a visually impaired student, to feel comfortable during all the lessons. I can highly recommend her.

Level 5 has a lot of material and moves rapidly. It is organized well and is a good selection of material covering the more advanced tenses.

It was a LOT to learn. I need to practice more tenses and work on my vocabulary. The course has so much information and you need to do the work outside of classroom time.

This course covers the final complex grammar concepts from conditional to subjunctive in a clear and scaffolded manner. The class moves fast, but necessarily so! Do the homework, practice during the week, and you will be amazed at how much you learn over the 10 weeks!

The material itself was extremely challenging and added on to the prior 4 levels almost too much. But with Nicolás help we learned, we laughed and we made it through. Now review and on to basic conversation.

The course was well organized and well presented. I understood when to us subjunctive verb tense for the first time.

The Level 5 course with Rolando was excellent. Covered a lot of material but was well organized and understandable. Many of the classes involved conversation practice and skills. Would recommend this course highly.

I did levels 1-5 at Berges and all of them were great! The textbook provided is full of knowledge to refer back to and they teach you a lot. Definitely feel like I got what I paid for, learned a lot, and enjoyed my instructor (Alan) and the class as a whole!

This was the most challenging class but it was still a lot of fun.

This course is difficult but in a good way...it is level 5, after all. There's a lot to learn but with constant practice, repetition, and conversation, I feel I am on my way to mastering Spanish.

This class addresses the subjunctive, the imperative and other verb tenses. If you're not into grammar, it's probably not for you. But it's such an important part of speaking the language properly, I found it quite valuable. We would begin with some brief conversation and then go through a section in the workbook. Nelson assigned homework each week and we went through our answers the following week. I learned a lot in the class. If I have one minor criticism, it's that there's a lot of ground to cover and I didn't feel quite sure that I had mastered the material by the end. There are a lot of verb tenses flying around and you have to work outside the class to keep learning. I had to do a little searching to find places where I could practice the tenses.

Since taking this course my understanding of Spanish has greatly improved. Yes, it's a lot but I can really now follow along when I hear Spanish songs and when I watch telenovelas.

This course helped fill in the remaining grammar gaps after Levels1-4. As always, the progression was logical and manageable. I really appreciated the small class size and the opportunity to practice speaking Spanish. My instructor for level 5 Silvana was so patient and good at what she does. Level 5 was my favorite level so far!

Nick is a great teacher and excellent at explaining Spanish grammar . This was my second class with him. Would highly recommend taking his class!

I felt that the level 5 could have been divided into two sections. A lot of material is covered in this course.

Level 5 was a challenging but fun final grammar course -- I enjoyed learning the nuances of the subjunctive and conditional tenses. The integration of conversational language practice during class combined with the adapted reading assignments provided as part of the workbook really allowed me to continuously test my skills on and off the page. The on-line format made attendance really easy, and I truly enjoyed the small class size (and the familiar faces of my peers from prior classes).

The course was great and helped me to make sense of some structures (particularly the subjunctive) that I've struggled with since high school (so for about 2 decades). I'm definitely not 100% fluent with the various skills that we learned, but I don't believe that's possible in such a relatively short time. However, I understand when and why others use these grammatical forms, and I am capable of using them myself. My ability to use them also improves weekly as I practice.

This course was jam-packed! And did not leave a lot of space for review of the level 4, which was also jam-packed.

All the years I have studied Spanish Berges is by far the beat. The courses are taught in a practical way to make it stick. Logical and organized curriculum will take your Spanish to the next level.

it was difficult to have the instructor leave midway and that impacted my learning. Since we knew he'd be taking paternity i wondered why not choose another instructor from the start. also the other students dropped along with him and while it's great to have more 1-1 time, i wasnt prepared for that initially. also wasnt ableto make up a missed class due to limited offerings at level 5.

After Nelsons paternity leave different instructors. A lot of new information to learn and everything in spanish. Impossible for me to follow and understand correctly. I quit the course as I felt overwhelmed with everything - changes of instructors and method of teaching.

I didn't enjoy this course as much as I enjoyed 2 & 3; I think I needed more time to practice and process the subjuntivo, condicional, compuesto y imperativo modos. It was a lot for one level. This may be because in each of the other levels, I already knew and had worked with 2-3 of the main concepts so I just got to improve my understanding, whereas with level 5, I was starting from scratch.

The course was very informative and helpful. Alexandra is an amazing professor that has a caring passion for her craft. She really tries to help her students learn.

Enjoyed this class. Really learned a lot of theory that I need to try to further develop my understanding and speaking skills.

I think it was a great overview and several more complicated themes. I came out feeling as if I learned more and have a better understanding of the language. I was disappointed in some sessions because we ended early (10-20 minutes) and wish there was less English spoken. Overall, I enjoyed them though.

It was a lot more conjugations to learn and memorize on top of what I still need to be proficient at from Level 4 but Rolando was patient and thorough to explain everything to make this course a bit easier. He really does pay attention to his students and amazingly remembers details from stories I had told him from past levels!!

Level 5 was a little intense but the written exercises and the instructor’s examples made learning subjunctive and such much easier.

The level 5 course was the hardest one and Sofia adapted the format to ensure we understood everything.

This is my fifth course with Nelson. It is extremely well taught, and I plan to continue with the conversation classes

We learned Subjunctive, conditional, imperative, active and passive voice in Level 5. I have been learning from Level 2 all the way to Level 5 in Berges all these months, no doubt Level 5 is the most challenging class! Too many materials have to be taught in 9 weeks then the test coming right after! Tons of homework to do every week! I came to Berges with very little Spanish background but I am surprised that I was able to be promoted to the next level after the exam each time! I have to admit that Berges did a really good job in training the instructors! The book we are using is easy to understand and homework provides good feedback to what we learned in class! We ( I can tell the other students like her too) love our instructor, Dennis Uribe! She is patience and knowledgeable and always makes sure her students understand the topic she covered before she moved to a new topic! I spent a lot of time in studying because no matter what level I was in, I can tell everyone in my class has much better Spanish background than me and I do not want to be too behind them! Last, I just want to say thank you to Berges institute, my intelligent instructor, Dennis and also the enthusiastic support team, Victor and Courtney, without your help and support, I will never be able to accomplish what I have today!

I think the content of the course is great and has so much that is worth learning. I think the workload should be a little more consistent from one week to the next

Level 5 was intensive but enjoyable. I realized then it was only the start of my Spanish learning journey!

I loved the class and the emphasis on conversation- I think there should be an oral exam however

Overall I enjoyed the course and found it to be helpful in improving my grammar. I would have liked a few quizzes before the final exam to monitor my progress.

Prior to taking the class I read reviews of Level 5 suggesting it was challenging. I agree it was challenging but Ian's method of instruction coupled with the in class exercises and notes was extremely helpful. I highly recommend Ian!

I enjoyed the course, but I learn better if the explanations are provided in English. I find that I understand the material better when it is explained in English and then practiced in Spanish. I find this especially true for the textbook as well. I’ve purchased supplemental materials because there are times when the textbook isn’t clear.

I loved Alex, I thought she was very approachable and spoke very clearly! I thought she did a great job in our remote learning class. The one thing that I was disappointed in was how often people in the class spoke and asked questions in English. It really detracted from the time we could spend applying the grammar concepts we had been learning. I would have loved more time to not only review the homework but try to answer some of those questions live to learn them better.

Nelson was a great teacher and I enjoyed the mixture of grammar and discussion

Nelson is a generous, knowledgeable and engaging teacher. He added a personal touch week in and week out that allowed me to feel the class was getting to know interesting things about each other despite being on a computer screen. The Grammar lessons were detailed and strong and Nelson always made time to explain things again, answer questions or review and expand on ideas and the nature of the question of something deeper about the language. Near the end of the course, I felt a lot of material was covered in just 1 or 2 classes and the material felt a bit dense. Personal study time helped me feel caught up but at this higher level, I wonder if a 12 week course option would be better. Or perhaps offering 2 shorter sections for Level 5 - a part one and part 2 - so that ample time can be spent on the difficult concepts of using the subjunctive and sometimes confusing conjugations of the imperative. I really enjoyed the class overall!

Level 5 is dense with new grammatical concepts, and the shift to conversation-based classes helped me develop my skills.
