Brilliant. When you're learning a new language and starting at zero, you're completely vulnerable and self-conscious even more so as an adult. The course offers a practical approach and you can use what you learn immediately.

I like the structure of the course. I took a Spanish class elsewhere two years ago and was very unimpressed with the teaching style, layout of the information taught, and the fact that there really wasn't any homework. I love that we have homework at Berges. It's important to lay some basic foundational groundwork before you try to force people to have conversations with each other, and Berges does this.

Excellent course for someone who knows no Spanish. The pace was appropriate and the teacher made learning fun. The textbook is very easy to read and to reference. The teacher discussed more idioms and encouraged class participation.

The course was great in providing me a good understanding of the basics and providing a solid foundation to build off of. I believe this path is much better then the educational apps you can download as it gives you added context around why and how certain things are written and/or spoke.

I really enjoyed the course and have signed up for Spanish II with Andreas. I liked the pace of the course, the way the materials was arranged, and the way the assignments helped to reinforce what was taught in the classroom. Andreas was very supportive, knowledgeable, and made the class fun!

Engaging, effective, and fun. Instructor basically explains the mechanics of the language, which makes it so much more intuitive to put in practice. Gives you a framework for rapidly assimilating the grammatical rules and structures.

The class was mainly verbal practice combined with repetition which I felt to be the most effective teaching style I have come across in my previous attempts to learn the language. After completion of the class I took a vacation to Mexico and was shocked to realize how much of the language I understood.

It was very educational. I really learned a lot. It was fun and interactive. Our teacher, Nelson, was very effective and fun. We loved him. We will be continuing our Spanish classes up till we finish Advance Conversational Course.

I had attempted to learn Spanish on my own and could not get past the verbs “Ser” and “Estar. I decided to enroll after a friend told me he was taking a class at Berges. He recommended Nelson Navarrate. I am glad that I got a place in Nelson’s Level 1 class. I am excited to taking a deeper dive into the Spanish Language because his enthusiasm, openness and humor put me at ease and made it easy for me to absorb his instructions. I’m look forward to more classes with Nelson.
