Course was good. I wish the workbook, had more examples of each section. It was hard to catch on at first, but that is because of learning a new language. Overall loved the course.

The beginner's class was just what I needed to get started learning Spanish. The course materials are easy to understand and are wonderfully organized so that you are always building on what you already learned. I was anxious about learning a new language but this class eased me into the learning process, making it fun and challenging at the same time.

The workbook is easy to follow. Explanations are clear and concise. I suggest an index in the back of the workbook, so that topics can be found more easily for review purposes. Page numbers in the table of contents would also be helpful.

The course was a good beginning approach, stressing conversational skills, along with the necessary grammar guidelines.
I liked the course book, which was less comprehensive, and less intimidating, than a typical beginning Spanish book (from what I remember from many decades ago),
easing us into a practical learning mode.

While I believe, as in any education program, that the results depend entirely on the effort one puts in. Berges Institute has provide the tools for me to go from zero comprehension to actually being able to have simple conversations with my wife's abuelita. Thank you!

This is a great course to take if you really want to begin speaking Spanish. There were many concepts taught that would allow having basic Spanish conversations immediately. The course manual was also very helpful as I still refer to it to study while taking level 2. I highly recommend this course whether you need a refresher or want to learn Spanish.

The course was great for me to start learning Spanish! I already signed up for level 2. The homework was definitely a huge part of the course and you will fall behind if you do not do it but I found it enjoyable. I also was able to practice concepts I learned with my girlfriend who is fluent which I think was helpful. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for (something to launch my Spanish learning beyond simple flashcards or a duo lingo equivalent). My only complaint is that the 10th course is just a review of the exam (takes place between 9th and 10th classes) and I feel more content could be covered by having another class worth of content and pushing out the exam to after the 10th class.

The in-person course was very efficient and I picked up basic Spanish in an incredible amount of time. An hour and a half passes by so quickly. The method they teach you makes a lot of sense to me.

This course is fantastic if you are looking for basically one on one tutoring. The instructor goes through each section basically just following all the homework provided and every single line of the textbook. She may use some graphics, but I personally need out of the textbook references and making conversations that are easy to remember. The instructor did the basic, but I’m looking for an instructor that really brings you in and tries to educate you on why it’s pronounced that way or helps you to memorize the topics. I forget things easily and always made shortcuts so I could remember, but as Professors do in a class of two people - I would be put on the spot and blank. I was hoping to find a learning community, but I think the most I found here was a resources textbook and someone to read it to me.

This was a great course with Alejandro. I had studied Spanish years ago, but forgot most of what I'd learned. Alejandro is a great teacher- patient and fun with his lessons. I've already begun Spanish II!
