I am so glad I found Berges Institute online when I was searching to learn Spanish. The Level 1 was placed very simply and not over bearing or over whelming, it was easy to follow (not on class day 1 yeah haha) but onwards it was simple and structured that you don't feel lost. I enjoyed the beginners course. Before starting with Berges, I had some background in Spanish but forgot a lot of the grammar and didn't have any confidence speaking. The textbook, homework, and exercises in class were well structured and I felt like I learned a lot within the 10 weeks. I also feel more confident speaking.

The course was great for me to start learning Spanish! I already signed up for level 2. The homework was definitely a huge part of the course and you will fall behind if you do not do it but I found it enjoyable. I also was able to practice concepts I learned with my girlfriend who is fluent which I think was helpful. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for (something to launch my Spanish learning beyond simple flashcards or a duo lingo equivalent). My only complaint is that the 10th course is just a review of the exam (takes place between 9th and 10th classes) and I feel more content could be covered by having another class worth of content and pushing out the exam to after the 10th class.
