I took the placement test and qualified for Level two but I opted to start with Level one. I felt I needed to reinforce some skills. This is an amazing class that has helped me to develop my Spanish. All the teachers are so good at teaching. I’ve had to reschedule many times during the week and it’s so easy to do that. I’m 6 weeks into it and look forward to the next 4 classes. Great classes!

The Beginners Spanish class covered so much material! It is more than worth its value. The instructor was very knowledgeable and professional. She went over the homework diligently (yes, there is homework!) and gave ample opportunities to ask questions during the class. I would highly recommend the class! I am already looking forward to taking the next class!

I’ve found this beginner’s Spanish course to be really helpful. The level is ideal for complete beginners. I’d been using Duolingo for about a year beforehand, and I’ve found this course to be a great complement to that learning. The topics covered are relevant to everyday situations, and the classes are taught at a pace that’s easy for everyone to follow. There’s also a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where you’re free to make mistakes and learn without feeling under pressure. I’d happily recommend this course to anyone looking to start learning Spanish.

The class has helped me learn a fair amount of Spanish already and I’m six lessons in. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I would like to see additional conversational learning, as well. My Spanish teacher has been patient and supportive. Five stars for her!

Very thorough course covers everything you need to build a sting foundation to build upon, only marked it one lees star as I think for people who really have no knowledge of Spanish prior to taking the class it could be overwhelming as there is a lot to remember… I think my tutor Rolando González is great!

Lessons started promptly every week. Nelson our tutor, was excellent and very patient with us. He is obviously a very experienced tutor and explained everything very clearly. He used humour to relax us during lessons which was great. Communication from the company was excellent with weekly email reminders of our lessons (with links to join online) and homework emails also. The course came with 10 units of resources to follow and these were very comprehensive teaching us the basics of grammar, verb endings and vocabulary. The lessons were just right and challenged me enough. It was also nice to ‘meet’ other learners from across the globe during lessons. All in all, the course is excellent value for money for a grounding of the basics of the Spanish language 👍🏻

I am over halfway through the course and am finding the learning style of the teacher very pragmatic and helpful. The socratic style of the classes also keeps you on your toes and gets you speaking a lot of Spanish throughout each class. Teacher is friendly and it's clear he has a passion for the language and for people learning it correctly. The homework is also helpful.

For absolute beginners, this covered a lot of ground. My wife and I both took the course and got a lot out of it. We had a great professor who grew up in Spain, which was perfect for us.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to learn Spanish with this method?

Most students become conversational after completing 5 levels (about 12-15 months of regular classes).

I've never studied Spanish before. Is this right for me?

Yes! Most of our students are complete beginners. We designed our Beginners classes specifically for people with zero Spanish experience.

Will I be embarrassed in class as a beginner?

No. All Beginners students start at zero. Our teachers create a supportive environment where making mistakes is part of learning.

How is this different from Spanish apps?

We teach grammar rules first, then practice. Apps make you guess patterns. Our method is faster for adults.

Do you teach Castilian or Latin American Spanish?

Spanish is one language with regional differences, mostly accent and a handful of everyday words, just like any other language. We teach standard Spanish, so what you learn works wherever it's spoken.

Are classes recorded?

No. Classes are live and not recorded, for student privacy and to keep speaking practice pressure-free.

How old do I need to be to enroll?

Our classes are for adults. The one exception: if you're 16 or 17, you can enroll as long as a parent or legal guardian accepts our terms on your behalf.

Can I change levels?

Yes! Just send us a message through our Help Center.
