I've taken six of the 10 Level 1 beginner classes so far, have thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and have learned a lot of elementary Spanish. I've had experience with three teachers, and they've each been excellent. My favorite, so far, is Monica Negron. I like her peaceful vibe, her friendly nature, and how well organized she is. I love that we can schedule classes around our personal schedules, by changing days and times, as needed. This is key for adult learners, and I'm impressed that Berges created its program around this concept. I plan to continue the program after completing Level 1.

This course was excellent. As a career technical instructor, I appreciate effective course materials and talented instructors. This course had both. I’ve learned a lot, have a lot more confidence in speaking Spanish. I speak it more often to Spanish speakers and less intimidated in speaking Spanish IRL. The flexibility to take a make up class later in the week with another teacher is amazing! Sometimes the Friday make up class doesn’t have anyone else there so it’s like a private class!!!

The course gives a good structure to learn Spanish. I do use other resources to fill-in and this is reasonable as the course price is affordable and learning anything like a language must come from a myriad of experiences. The structure this course provides if vital and this program also gives me the necessary building blocks. The online flexiliblity of the course offers with 'live' classroom availability is important for learning, as well. Excellent foundation provided where I do not believe you can get anywhere else especially at this price point.

No. All Beginners students start at zero. Our teachers create a supportive environment where making mistakes is part of learning.

We teach grammar rules first, then practice. Apps make you guess patterns. Our method is faster for adults.
