I am so glad I found Berges Institute online when I was searching to learn Spanish. The Level 1 was placed very simply and not over bearing or over whelming, it was easy to follow (not on class day 1 yeah haha) but onwards it was simple and structured that you don't feel lost. I liked that the course was on-line, the class consisted of 3-6 persons, and there were options of days and times - especially the availability of a Saturday class. The workbook was easy to understand and exercises helped with the retention of the language. At the end of the 10 week course I am able to read, write, understand and engage in a Spanish conversation. I cannot wait to start level 2.

How long does it take to learn Spanish with this method?

Most students become conversational after completing 5 levels (about 12-15 months of regular classes).

I've never studied Spanish before. Is this right for me?

Yes! Most of our students are complete beginners. We designed our Beginners classes specifically for people with zero Spanish experience.

Will I be embarrassed in class as a beginner?

No. All Beginners students start at zero. Our teachers create a supportive environment where making mistakes is part of learning.

How is this different from Spanish apps?

We teach grammar rules first, then practice. Apps make you guess patterns. Our method is faster for adults.
