This course is about learning the fundamentals of the language, not just popular phrases. It's great for someone wanting to truly learn the language. It is fast paced and there is a lot to remember, but Rolando was engaging, explained things concisely and was patient helping students work through stuff.

Maria has a lovely personality and is very engaging. I have a background in language teaching (ESL) and I found the structure of the book unclear. Maria did a good job in clarifying it all, but I think more effort should be put into improving the workbook.

The course was enjoyable because Nelson explained the language in a clear and fun way and made it relevant to my everyday life. He is very encouraging. I began to be really interested in Spanish and started trying to decipher the notices in Spanish subways and other places. Fun!
