I’ve learned a lot, have a lot more confidence in speaking Spanish. I speak it more often to Spanish speakers and less intimidated in speaking Spanish IRL. The flexibility to take a make up class later in the week with another teacher is amazing! Sometimes the Friday make up class doesn’t have anyone else there so it’s like a private class!!!

I appreciate the variety and flexibility the course offers. You can chose your instructors and the times and days that work best for you and i like the option of catching up if you miss a session. Each teacher brings their own unique style and approach to teaching but they are consistently engaged and dedicated to their students. I think the course offers excellent value.

The course was excellent. I studied French for many years, but had no formal instruction in Spanish. I knew some words and phrases that I had learned from friends or from using apps and online self-study programs. The course pulled everything together by helping me to understand the grammar and have confidence that I was saying things correctly. I saw a huge improvement in my ability to read and understand Spanish. I also enjoyed the learning environment. Even though the course was online, I enjoyed the interaction with fellow students. I took Spanish for Absolute Beginners with María Chanamé and I am very pleased with this course. María’s classes are a good mix of learning & having fun. Yes! Most of our students are complete beginners. We designed our Beginners classes specifically for people with zero Spanish experience.

Will I be embarrassed in class as a beginner?

No. All Beginners students start at zero. Our teachers create a supportive environment where making mistakes is part of learning.

How is this different from Spanish apps?

We teach grammar rules first, then practice. Apps make you guess patterns. Our method is faster for adults.
