The material is presented most efficiently so you can readily understand the nuts and bolts of pronunciations, grammer, pick up vocabulary. The practice portions of the class helped solidify the information in actual speaking. Having the flexibility to use make-up lessons when schedule conflicts arise made sure I didn't fall behind.
