Basic Conversation

Great job by Nicolas! Cheerful, SMART, helpful, interested and interesting. I love the little grammar lessons he sometimes injects, and he's, of course, great with vocabulary.

I found this conversation class incredibly helpful. We reviewed vocabulary and grammar while having interesting conversations with people from all over the world. I am starting to feel a little more comfortable listening to and understanding Spanish and I plan to re-enroll. Gloria is excellent. I like her approach to teaching, she explains concepts well and has a good sense of when and how often to make corrections.

This class is challenging but necessary for applying what is learned in the different levels. I learn as much from my compañeros as with the teacher. We have fun exercises, learn a little bit about each other, and from the topics that are assigned for conversation. There is an opportunity to speak in Spanish for longer intervals in these classes. I wonder if these classes can include some exercises that introduce idiomatic phrases that we can practice in conversation with each other. It would help me a lot. Being able to use these kinds of phrases could help my confidence as well!

I am not sure which section this is for, but since I have already submitted an appreciative review of the Sunday at 8 am section for Basic Conversation, I'll review the Sunday at 11 am section this time. I have taken one session before with Gloria and find her an effective instructor. But she missed the first class, and I couldn't get any communication regarding the assignment for the second class. I'm relatively new to Spanish conversation and need some direction. The main reason for the low rating has nothing to do with the instruction: Two of the students in this class spend the class on their exercise treadmills, and I find this rude and distracting. So I decided to drop the class. But I wouldn't hesitate to take another class with Gloria.

Gloria is a superb teacher. She is very kind and interesting and knows how to keep the conversation lively and flowing. I was super nervous to take conversation class but I was able to overcome it because Gloria is an expert teacher.

Juan Carlos does a great job making sure that everyone gets a chance to talk. Topics are interesting. Also, I love being able to reschedule classes and knowing what countries teachers are from.

This class provides a great opportunity to practice speaking Spanish in a no stress environment. Gloria is a great teacher and is very patient with us.

I really enjoy this class! Mónica does a great job of coming up with interesting reading materials and conversation topics.
