Students must be 15 or older in order to take classes at Berges.
Spanish Classes: In order to register for a class, you can either pay your tuition up front or split it into two payments of $139.50. By selecting the latter option: 1. A valid credit card number will be required for the first payment; and 2. You authorize Berges Institute to automatically bill the remaining balance to your credit card between your 4th and 5th classes.
Private Lessons: You must complete your payment by 9 PM on the business day prior to your first lesson, otherwise your appointment will be automatically cancelled.
Group Course Withdrawal
If you withdraw from a course anytime before the second class is held you will receive a 100% refund of your tuition. After the second class you will not be entitled to any refund
If you know in advance you will be missing a session and would like to request to attend a make-up class, please use our Make-up Classes Request Form. You can also send us an email; our staff will help you with this and grant you an authorization for a make-up class (based on schedule availability).
If none of the available options work for you, or if there are no other classes of the same level running at the same time, you can always book a reduced price ($39) 1-hour private lesson with one of our instructors in order to go over the material you missed (see Reduced Price 1-hour Private Lessons Policy below).
Reduced Price 1-Hour Private Lessons Policy
Students who are currently enrolled in a group class have the option of purchasing and booking 1-hour private lessons at a reduced price of $39. Please note these 1-hour lessons are subject to instructors’ and space availability, and cannot be scheduled at anytime after your enrollment ends (that is, after the last class of the current course you are taking at the time you purchase reduced-price 1-hour private lessons is held).
Berges Institute reserves the right to cancel any section of a course if there are fewer than 6 students registered. Students will be notified, and will have the option to register to a different section or get a full refund.
Private Lesson Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule a private lesson, you must contact Berges Institute by 9 PM one business day* in advance (we close the instructors' schedules for the next day at that time, and the school commits to pay them for all the confirmed classes). If you fail to do so the lesson will be automatically forfeited and cannot be made up.
*Note: “Business Day” means any day other than Saturday, Sunday or other day on which Berges Institute is closed.
Private Lesson Packages Expiration
Please note that all private lesson packages expire in 365 days after purchase.
At Berges Institute we do not have new sections starting every week for all of our offered classes. If you are interested in a class that for any reason is not being offered at that moment we will put you on a wait list. We will contact you back when a section opens or register you for private lessons instead, where you can work on any subject with your private instructor.
Inclement Weather Policy
If a class gets cancelled because of the weather, Berges Institute will add an extra session at the end of the cycle on the same day and time the class usually meets. If there is no room availability for the same day and time, the extra session will be scheduled on a different day and time (students will be notified if this happens).
Student Records Policy
Your personal information will be used only for registration purposes and payments. We won’t sell, trade, or give your personal information to any other company without your consent.
All students taking Levels 1-5 must complete a written test on their 9th session. All unclaimed graded tests will be destroyed after 4 months.
Course and instructor review guidelines
Berges Institute reserves the right to remove any review that violates the following content guidelines: 1. Defamatory language and personal attacks are strictly prohibited. 2. Reviews should be unbiased and objective, and reviewer must be or must have been an actual customer at Berges. 3. Reviews must be relevant and not include any contents outside of the consumer experience.
